The site, which borders on 3 streets, houses the ‘Stene’ primary school. The secondary school is located across the street. The site is located beneath a flight path in and out of Ostend airport, resulting in very strict building regulations. The existing buildings, 3 permanent buildings and 1 temporary classroom scattered over the site, will remain. The school must be enlarged due to a large increase in the number of pupils. The new building will primarily contain classrooms, with a total surface area of 883 sq. m.
